{"id":2095,"date":"2013-11-05T16:48:52","date_gmt":"2013-11-05T16:48:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thenewchildrenshospital.ie\/?p=2095"},"modified":"2013-11-05T17:01:18","modified_gmt":"2013-11-05T17:01:18","slug":"put-a-campus-masterplan-on-public-display-now","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thenewchildrenshospital.ie\/index.php\/2013\/11\/put-a-campus-masterplan-on-public-display-now\/","title":{"rendered":"Put a Campus Masterplan on public display &#8211; NOW"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>To -An Taoiseach and members of government &#8211;<\/p>\n<p>Please let us, the citizens and taxpayers, see\u00a0 A MASTERPLAN NOW.<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">What the Minister for Health&#8217;s own commissioned <a href=\" http:\/\/www.dohc.ie\/issues\/childrens_hospital\/final_report_etc\/Supplementary_Analysis_Planning_%20Report_19Oct2012.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Planners&#8217; Report<\/a> (Oct 2012) advised:-<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u201c <span style=\"font-family: sans-serif,Arial;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">Ideally, a revised master plan setting out a clear vision for the entire campus, including the proposed new hospitals, research and hostel facilities,<strong> should <\/strong>[our emphasis]<strong> be prepared prior to the design of the new development, and agreed with Dublin City Council.<\/strong>\u201d(p14).<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0\u201c<span style=\"font-family: sans-serif,Arial;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">&#8230;If the Government decides to locate the Children\u2019s Hospital at SJH [St. James&#8217;s Hospital], one of the first planning actions should be the preparation of an up-to-date master plan setting out a strategic vision for the overall campus, in order to provide a coherent context for the accommodation of detailed plans for the Children\u2019s Hospital and Maternity hospital.\u201d(p18)<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0\u201c<span style=\"font-family: sans-serif,Arial;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">We believe that preparation of a master plan for the SJH campus could be carried out in tandem with preliminary studies for the planning application and environmental \/ appropriate assessments required for the Children\u2019s Hospital.\u201d(p19).<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Tomorrow, November 6th 2013, is the first anniversary of the government decision to build the new children&#8217;s hospital on the campus of St. James&#8217;s hospital.<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>To -An Taoiseach and members of government &#8211; Please let us, the citizens and taxpayers, see\u00a0 A MASTERPLAN NOW.
